Angelina Jolie has heard it all before: she is suffering from depression; she and Brad Pitt are breaking up; she has decided never to act again… the rumours persist and she just laughs.

The latest report to hit the internet and magazines around the world states authoritatively that she is retiring from the screen and may have made her last movie.

Nothing could be further from the truth, she says when I meet her in the Ritz-Carlton hotel in the Mexican holiday resort of Cancun to discuss her new film, Salt.

“Things get reported and blown out of proportion,” she says. “I’ll be working strongly for the next few years, doing the projects I love most and the films that are important to me and then after that I’ll only do a film every once in a while – one that matters,” Jolie says.

ANGELINA Jolie waged “a mean-spirited but effective campaign” against Jennifer Aniston around the time.

That Brad Pitt divorced her to be with Jolie  according to author Ian Halperin’s new book The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

In the book, excerpted by Us Weekly magazine, Halpern claims Jolie and her camp (including her manager Geyer Kosinski and brother James Haven) planted press stories in 2005 that painted Aniston in a negative light.

One of the stories was that the former Friends star put her career ahead of starting a family  which put her directly at odds with Pitt, who was desperate to become a father.

Jolie, Halperin writes, “was convinced that this is the story that would resonate with all these women who saw her as a man-stealing bitch.”

Pregnant actress Angelina Jolie is apparently keen on starring in Sin City 2 after she gives birth to her twins.

Jolie is thinking of acting in Sin City 2 because she is interested in what director Frank Miller will come up with next. And she wants to do more action movies after having starred in the Lara Croft movies.

Jolie loved the 2004 release of the comic book and Miller is keen to have her be a part of the movie as well. He already has a character in mind for her to play.

The actress said: "I found the first Sin City impressive, but I don't know what they're going to do with the next one to make (it) as original as the first one. I'd be curious. I think he's (Miller) a genius."

The first Sin City was released in 2005 and starred Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis and Elijah Wood.

For American actress Angelina Jolie, being a mother and Goodwill Ambassador holds much more importance than acting.

Jolie currently finds that motherhood and the humanitarian work that she is doing satisfying, and is in no hurry to return back to the big screen. The Tomb Raider star, who is a mother of four and currently pregnant with twins, admits that being a parent is the number one priority in her life.

"I love being a mom and I do love travelling and the work I get to do with children in the field and with refugees,” Contactmusic quoted her, as telling MTV.com. "Brad and I take turns working so instead of it being 'I get to work next,' it's 'You have to work next, because it's your turn. I'm staying home with the kids'," she added.

James McAvoy is a man to envy he's just added Angelina Jolie to the list of Hollywood beauties with whom he's been paid to lock lips, along with Keira Knightley, Anne Hathaway and Christina Ricci.

That said, it turns out McAvoy was more turned on having the pulp beaten out of him by the screen siren than he was during their makeout session.

"It was much better to be bashed by Jolie," McAvoy, who plays a lame accountant-turned-action hero in the heavily charged flick "Wanted," told Pop Tarts. "The best thing in the fight scene is to be bashed and take the hit so much better than giving someone a punch. We had so much fun; I loved it."

In her sexiest screen role to date, a super svelte Jolie plays Morgan Freeman's sidekick, Fox, whose calling in life is to kill those whose name is picked by "Fate." But it seems James isn't the only co-star who still can't stop talking about the actress.

There’s no way that Angelina Jolie is giving up on making action films, for she wants to emulate Harrison Ford’s career as a leading star in this particular genre.

Angelina admits to MTV.com that she loves the physical side of filming for movies such as ‘Lara Croft’ and ‘Mr and Mrs Smith’, and hopes that she will continue making them even when she reaches her sixties like Ford, reports Contactmusic. "I think there's always going to be a side of me. Harrison (Ford) is doing it, and he's doing it well. (So) it looks like I've got some more time," she told the site.

Ford, 65, made a comeback as an action hero in the latest Indian Jones flick ‘The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’. And he certainly didn’t stop age from making sure he took things a bit easy, performing the majority of his stunts all by himself.

Angelina, in the meantime, will soon be seen on the big screen when her new movie ‘The Changeling’ hits theatres mid-October.

Jolie has also told of how her interest in knives as a teenager left her with scars on her body.

The actress who is currently with Brad Pitt, with whom she's expecting twins says the incident, which caused scarring on her abdomen and thigh, happened when she was 14 and "curious about vampires," reports Showbizspy.com

She reveals, "When I was 14, I collected knives. My first boyfriend and I ended up getting into some fighting in bed and being silly. People think that happens every time I go to bed.

"It was actually something he never wanted to do again. It was a mistake and we really hurt ourselves. It was just being young, you know, when you're curious about vampires and that kind of thing. Just experimenting. It was an accident and I ended up in hospital."

The 'Wanted' star, 33, who also recently attended the premiere of her hit new animation flick Kung Fu Panda with co-star Jack Black in Cannes, reportedly married first husband, Jonny Lee Miller, wearing a shirt with his name written on it in her own blood.

She and her second husband, Billy Bob Thornton, wore vials of each other's blood around their necks.

Angelina Jolie is reportedly getting set to join the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Celine Dion by coming out with her own fragrance line. (Join Angelina Jolie Fan Club)

According to Showbizspy. com, the pregnant actress is working with French fragrance house Coty to launch her own scent.

Coty is no stranger to celeb perfumes, having launched that ‘Sex and the City’ star Sarah Jessica Parker’s signature scents, reports the Daily Telegraph.

A source tells British newspaper The Mail on Sunday that Jolie is certainly making sure that the perfume that hits the stands, encapsulates her.

Think it's difficult finding a Father's Day present for the man in your life? Try being Angelina Jolie.

''Brad is the hardest person to shop for,'' she says of her partner, Brad Pitt, while checking out a window display of Corum watches at the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat in the south of France. ''He has impeccable design taste. And whenever he sees something he likes, he buys it for himself.'' Pitt's most recent gift to Jolie the gun-charm necklace she wore to her EW photo shoot is also a tough act to follow.

''Mad, our 6-year-old, draws lots of war scenarios,'' she explains. ''He's all into war and guns. So for Mother's Day he drew a machine gun, and Brad had it made into a necklace, which is really sweet. It's really cute. I think it's really good!''

Leave it to Angelina Jolie to drop the words cute and machine gun in the same breath. The 33-year-old Academy Award winner has always cultivated dual identities: On the one hand, she's been the Mistress of the Dark (as in her fascinations with tattoos, knives, and blood); on the other, she's the Minister of Light (her work promoting international peace). Her next starring film roles keep that dichotomy alive: On June 27 she appears as Fox, a morally driven assassin who mentors a shlubby office worker (Atonement's James McAvoy) in the graphically violent Wanted, directed by Timur Bekmambetov (Night Watch). And in October she stars in Clint Eastwood's latest film, Changeling, as a 1920s single mom whose 9-year-old son disappears.

Changeling's premiere at the recent Cannes Film Festival earned Jolie strong reviews, but her life off screen garnered even more attention: Paparazzi have been tailing Jolie, Pitt, and their four children (Maddox, 6; Pax, 4; Zahara, 3; and Shiloh, 2) all over southern France.
